After State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank is yet another popular public sector bank which provide quite interesting interesting rates for both short and long term fixed deposits.
PNB Interest rates is 4% p.a for saving accounts since 3 May, 2011. SBI interest rates is also same for saving accounts.
Punjab national Bank is providing higher interest rates for long term deposits than short term deposits. For 7 to 14 days deposits, they are giving 4% interest.
For senior citizens .50% extra shall be given. These PNB fixed deposit interest rates are applicable for fresh deposits and renewal of existing deposits.
